This is James. He came to us just with an interesting idea.
MyDay App (Former Evexia) is a newborn startup product that has set its primary goal to help businesses care about their employees’ well-being. While many other products have some well-being tracking and improvement features, the market needed a solution that would bring the business and corporate world closer to sustainable human resource management and focus on staff well-being. This is how the idea to create an app designed to fit every user’s needs in their well-being and shape the suggested activities, media materials, and other helpful features to improve their condition sprung.
Our team’s initial challenge was to implement the tracking of physical health metrics alongside other health metrics built within the app to provide in-time and informative analytics and wellbeing score.
That is where integration of external apps like apple health and google fit became handy. Instead of reinventing the wheel, we chose the solution that is already proven effective in gathering main physical health data and is widely used by people worldwide.
Another challenge on our way was to develop a regular, in-time, and visible communication channel that the HR team could use to send out regular questionnaires to employees about their wellbeing checks.
We built an automated flow of push notifications for all information sent from an admin to users. Employees are notified about new surveys by push notifications every time HR sends them out. If not completed, users can also see them pinned on the dashboard when opening the app.
Except for tracking the wellbeing score, there was a need for HR managers to share useful and, most important, up-to-date information on how their employees can improve their wellbeing.
We built a comprehensive media library where data comes from various sources, file formats, third-party players, etc., so HR managers do not need to upload and actualize the data regularly.
Last but not least, the product aims to allow businesses to have some level of control over their employees’ wellbeing. On the other hand, maintaining the end-users privacy and respectful personal space was the fundamental requirement for the app.
Ongoing discussion with the customer and legal subject-matter expert allowed us to keep the balance between content control and privacy protection and integrate it into the app’s functionality.
01/ Discovery Phase
MyDay product is a perfect case of the crystalized idea that had to get into the right hands. The client brought us preliminary app wireframes that needed some clarifications and adjustments. That’s where our product team took responsibility to make the product as coherent and enjoyable for the users as possible, balancing the client’s idea, research, and users’ needs. Diving deeper into the concept and helping James formalize the app’s vision, we fully reorganized the ready wireframes to ensure all the complex logic behind the app’s functionality is included in the layout.

02/ Product Design
The design of the MyDay app is full of graphic elements, which are both challenging and pleasant to work with. When creating the design, we kept in mind that informative user interface must not overwhelm the app’s usability.
Another enjoyable moment was to engage users in gamification, create an encouraging vibe of the plan completion, and reward them for their achievements. As the product brand was being created alongside the UI design of the app, our primary goal was to timely adjust to the dynamic branding changes.

Registration & Profile
By registering on the MyDay app, users create their personal wellbeing plan, prioritizing five pillars of wellbeing: How you Feel, How you Eat, How you Connect, and How you move. They also choose their motivation, select content they want to see in their library, and set their availability for wellbeing activities. Later on, users can track their achievements statistics on the Home page.
Diary, Dashboard & Achievements
Activities of MyDay app users are rewarded by purchasing CO2 emissions via third-party services and making a positive impact on the environment.
Having had scalability and integrity in mind, we built a solution with the help of new at the time development frameworks to make this product technically up-to-date for a long time.
The peculiarity of the project was to provide a seamless experience of data exchange between the app and the integrated third-party services. We’ve achieved that by leveraging Native technologies.
Though developing iOS and Android asynchronously and working on the fixed scope, we carefully selected our project management methodology to create the app before the scheduled date of beta testing.
We use the latest technologies to deliver user-friendly, scalable, and secure solutions as per your business requirements.
